Hannah Bacheller, MD Chief Resident 2024-2025
​
Hannah was born in the Netherlands and grew up overseas in places such as Norway, Indonesia, and Switzerland. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Colorado State University. She then obtained her graduate degree from Colorado State University in Assisted Reproductive Technologies and worked as an Embryologist at an IVF Center. She went on to obtain her medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon. In her free time, Hannah enjoys spending time outside with her dog, running, crafts, and spending time with family and friends.
Sophia Chan, MD Chief Resident 2024-2025

Sophia was born and raised in San Francisco, California. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Psychobiology at the University of California, Los Angeles. She then obtained her medical degree from Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. Her interests include board games, hiking, and traveling to new places.
Hira Khaliq, MD Chief Resident 2024-2025

​Hira started her educational journey in Virginia, obtaining a PS in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. She then traveled to attend Ross University School of Medicine where she obtained her MD.
Rebecca Moorhouse, DO Chief Resident 2024-2025
​
Becca has spent her whole life in Michigan. She grew up in Swartz Creek and went to the University of Michigan-Flint for undergrad. She attended Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine for medical school before starting residency at Ascension Providence. Her interests outside of residency include spending time with her dog, Loki, and helping coach a winterguard team in her hometown with her little sister. She also enjoys hanging out with her nieces, nephews, and other family in the area. She plans to stay in Michigan after graduation.
Adrienne Spring, DO Chief Resident 2024-2025​

Adrienne has been a Spartan since the beginning. She started her educational career by obtaining a BS in Human Physiology through the Lyman Briggs School at Michigan State University. She then stayed in East Lansing and attended the College of Osteopathic Medicine. In her free time, she loves to go shopping, do her co-residents’ hair and makeup, and hang out with her cat. She plans to practice as a Generalist someplace warm after graduation. Go Green!
Rebecca Bremer, DO
Class of 2026

Becca grew up in Northern California. She completed her undergraduate degree at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and her medical degree at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Becca couples matched with her fiancé that is completing his residency in Family Medicine. Her interests within OBGYN include women's health disparities and global health. Outside of medicine, Becca loves cuddling with her cat, running/hiking, and watching Friends for the 100th time.
Megan Czmer, DO ​

Megan attended MSU for undergraduate education and went through to attend Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine. Since starting residency she recently got married and moved into a new home! She enjoys outdoor activities, spending time with her friends, and reading. She has a one year old Golden Retriever mix that she adores and loves to spoil in her free time.
Sayeh Nabati, MD
Class of 2026

Sayeh was born in Iran and moved to Canada when she was 6 years old. She learned English by watching the TV show Friends. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and went to AUC for medical school where she lived on the beautiful island of St. Maarten for 2 years. After moving to Michigan for her rotations, she fell in love and decided to stay for residency. She now lives with her feisty senior citizen, Max, who loves to cuddle anyone at any time. On her spare time she enjoys cooking and watching reality TV shows.
Gina Newsome, DO
Class of 2026

Gina Newsome has called Michigan her home her entire life. She was raised in West Bloomfield and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan. Even after graduating from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, she continues to chant "Go Blue!" in opposition of some her fellow residents. Her interests include reading, dancing, travelling, and taking pictures of her cats. In the future, she plans to continue to serve the people needing OB/GYN care in Michigan.
Meaghan Sample, MD​

Meaghan was born and raised in the metro-Detroit area. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, then went on to complete medical school at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. Meaghan then went on to do a preliminary year in General Surgery at Ascension Providence and went on to stay for Ob/Gyn residency. Meaghan plans to stay in the Detroit area after residency as well. During her time off, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling; most recently visiting the Dominican Republic.
​Louisa Antonelli, MD
Class of 2027

Louisa grew up with her twin brother in Saline, Michigan. She went to the University of Notre Dame for her undergraduate education where she majored in Biological Sciences and minored in Studio Art. She returned to Michigan for medical school at Wayne State University School of Medicine and fell in love with Detroit and its varied communities. Obstetrics and gynecology are her calling and she is thrilled to be completing her residency at Providence. Some of her favorite things include hanging out with her dog Coco, spending time with friends at Karaoke or sporting events, and binge watching movies.

Cameron Bixby, DO
Class of 2027

Cameron was born and raised in Tampa, FL but had always remained connected with his family's roots in Detroit. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Tampa and his medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee. Cameron's family historically emigrated from London, England to Detroit, so it has been a full-circle moment for him to train in Michigan. His interests in OB/GYN include obstetrical medicine as well as looking at the impacts of fertility and mental health. Outside the hospital, Cameron enjoys playing Ice hockey, and continuing to work with various supporters' groups for West Ham United F.C. (soccer) in England and the United States.
Rasha Jawad, MD

Rasha is originally from Dearborn, Michigan. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan and her medical degree from Central Michigan University College of Medicine. Her passion for the operating room and desire to establish meaningful connections with patients led her to specialize in obstetrics and gynecology. When she's not working, Rasha enjoys baking, attending local concerts, and watching Broadway shows.
Rachel Loken, DO
Class of 2027

Rachel is currently one of the first year residents and a graduate of MSUCOM. She grew up in Southeast Michigan and just bought her first house at the start of residency! Rachel recently got married and have a Golden Retriever Mix puppy at home, named Dakota. She loves to spend her time reading, playing with Dakota, working out, and spending time with family and friends.
Dalia Rahmon, MD

Dalia was born and raised in Corona, California. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Riverside, and her medical degree from Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. She has an interest in pediatric and adolescent gynecology and is passionate about addressing social disparities in healthcare. Outside of the hospital, Dalia enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants and coffee shops, and rock climbing.
Callie Angell, DO
Class of 2028

Callie grew up in the Dallas/Fort Worth area in Texas before moving to Orlando, Florida to work at Disney World, where they met their husband. They received their undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida and moved back home to attend the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. Callie is interested in health disparities and working with underserved populations. In their free time, they love spending time with their spouse and 4 cats, reading, quilting, and playing video games.

Kane was born and raised in Colorado. He obtained his undergraduate degree at the University of New Mexico in Emergency Medical Services and then worked as a paramedic in Albuquerque, NM. He went on to obtain his medical degree from Rocky Vista University in Southern Utah. In his free time, Kane enjoys spending time with his two dogs Archie & Charlie, watching soccer games, and roasting coffee.

Kelly was born and raised in Novi, Michigan making Providence very special and close to home. She obtained her undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University and her Medical Degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. When she is not working she enjoys spending time working out, going to the lake and hanging out with her friends and family.

Laura was born and raised in West Michigan, and completed her undergraduate degree at Hope College in Holland Michigan in Athletic Training. She spent a few years working in sports medicine before going on to complete her medical education at Kansas City University. After returning to Michigan for rotations she decided to stay in her home state for residency to be closer to family and friends. Outside of medicine she enjoys spending time with her dog Luna, reading, and traveling.

Alekya grew up in the metro-Detroit area and was born at Providence Hospital in Southfield, so coming to this program has been a very full-circle moment for her! She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Michigan and switched sides to go to medical school at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. In her free time, Alekya loves to travel, go to concerts, and hang out with her friends and family.
